Taichi is a form of meditative exercise that finds its roots in Martial Arts. Characterized by graceful flowing movements of the body, it is widely used to promote health, reduce stress and harmonize the mind, body and spirit. It incorporates stretching, breathing techniques and steady rhytmic movements.
Tai Chi is low-impact and its forms are generally gentle and slow; hence, it is suitable for students of all ages and levels. Various styles are taught. In addition to health benefits and relaxation, other benefits of Tai Chi include improved coordination, footwork, balance and flexibility.
